About Nowitz Photography
Founded by Richard Nowitz in 1978, Nowitz Photography is a family business comprised of three principal shooters spanning two generations. Today, the Nowitz Photography team includes Richard and two of his children, Abraham and Daniella Nowitz. This website features photography and video work by all three members of the Nowitz Photography team.
Over the past 35 years, Richard has traveled to more than 35 of the world’s countries across six of its continents. From the time his children were very young, Richard encouraged them to travel with him on assignment. After many years of apprenticing under Richard, Abraham and Daniella are now professional photographers in their own right.
Richard Nowitz has been a National Geographic Photographer since 1991 and a contract photographer for Insight Guides since 1982, with over 40 book titles to his credit. Richard has won numerous awards for his travel photography from the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), including the Society’s highest photography honor, Photographer of the Year, in 1998. His clients include National Geographic Traveler, Conde Nast Traveler, Time-Life Books and Endless Vacation, among many others.
