For years people have been asking, when will I start a blog with photo tips and road stories accumulated while working in the field for National Geographic and Insight Guides? Finally, the answer is NOW!! I was waiting for my son Abe, to have time to program and design the new web site. He taught himself a programing language by the weird name of "Drupal" and he outdid himself with this new design.
I hope you like it and will return often to read my blog and see my new work. Summer is around the corner and I thought it might be nice to look at some of my favorite "cool" pix. These three images were taken in the park next to my house in Maryland. I mention that because you don't need to go far to find great photo opps. The first image was made on an overcast day, which I find is perfect for digital capture because of the even light. The last two photos are variations. The sun poked out so I incorporated it into the picture as a counter point to the bridge. I then added a graduated filter to create a sunset mood.
